Breastfeeding:
| Nursing Pads | There are 2 basic types of nursing pads – washable and disposable pads. If you are thinking of getting disposable nursing pads, it will be wise for you to take a brand that includes a sticky patch on the back. This will make sure that the pad is secured and fits tightly in your maternity bra.
| Feeding Pillow | Make it easier for your child to breastfeed by getting a V-shaped feeding pillow instead of simply using a regular pillow from your own bed.
| Nursing Cover | Drapes over mom and baby allowing mom to discreetly breast feed in public, while still maintaining eye contact with baby while feeding.
| Breast Pump | On certain occasions, preparing milk for our babies is required. In such cases, getting a breast pump will be crucial. When buying one, you can either get an electric or battery-powered pump or a manual breast pump.
| Breast Pump Bra | Provides a convenient way to pump breast milk, leaving your hands free to do other tasks or simply take a break and relax.
Bottle Feeding:
| Teats | Babies also have preferences, so it is best to try out different types of teats before settling for one. Just make sure, though, that whichever you end up buying is appropriate for your baby’s age to guarantee correct milk flow.
| Formula | Consider the age requirement as well as the certifications and ingredients found in your chosen formulas before buying one. Preferably choose organic formulas, or formulas containing iron, omega 3 for brain development and pre and pro-biotics for a healthy digestive and immune system.
| Bottle | If you want feeding bottles that are easiest to clean and prepare formulas in, then you should opt for wide-necked bottles. For the health of your baby it’s best to choose bottles that are leach proof and BPA Free.
| Bottle Warmer | Heats single bottle of formula or milk quickly and easily, can also used to warm jars of baby food as well.
| Sterilizer | Often, cleaning feeding bottles with tap water is not enough. To ensure no harm will threaten your child, you might want to get a steam sterilizer.
Solids:
| Infant Spoon | Children should be fed with delicacy, especially if they have yet to grow a set of teeth. To avoid accidentally hurting the baby’s very soft gums, getting a soft-tip infant spoon will be beneficial.
| Suction Bowl | If you are starting to teach your baby to eat by him/herself, getting suction bowls will be useful. This will let the child eat easily without spilling the food all over.
| High Chair | High chairs are recommended for babies that are at least 6 months old. When buying a high chair, it is recommended that you check standards and opt for one that has extra trays, padding, reclining feature, and seat height and foot rest. If you are short on space you can always opt for a booster seat style of high chair.
| Bibs | Babies can be messy with their food. To make sure their clothes stay clean throughout meals, getting the right sized bib, and preferably hypo-allergenic, will be crucial.
| Baby Food Maker | Many pre-packaged baby food products can be full of aditives and expensive to boot. Create additive free baby food, quickly and easily with the beaba baby food maker. It’s healthy, it saves you time and money.
